Finding Joy in the Journey: Why I Love Running Workshops

I’ve been told recently that I’m a natural at running workshops. While that’s incredibly flattering, I’ll admit that it can be exhausting at times. But here’s the thing—I wouldn’t have it any other way.

There’s something truly exhilarating about guiding a group of talented individuals through the process of innovation, especially when we’re tapping into the power of neuroscience and behavioral science. Workshops are where ideas come to life, where the abstract becomes tangible, and where the magic happens. I’ve seen firsthand how a well-structured session can spark creativity, foster collaboration, and lead to breakthrough insights that might have otherwise gone untapped.

Innovation & Insights Workshops: Where Creativity Flourishes

One of my favorite things about running these workshops is seeing the innovative ideas that emerge when people are given the right tools and a bit of encouragement. By integrating neuroscience and behavioral science thinking into the innovation process, we create an environment where creative thinking thrives. These hands-on sessions are designed to guide teams through generating new ideas, refining concepts, and translating those insights into actionable strategies. The energy in the room is infectious, and I’m always amazed at how quickly teams can move from a blank page to a fully fleshed-out concept.

Strategic Research Foresight Workshops: Anticipating the Future

The future is uncertain, but that doesn’t mean we can’t prepare for it. In my Strategic Research Foresight Workshops, I help businesses anticipate and prepare for potential project and product futures by applying foresight methodologies grounded to specific research projects. While some people have heard and used strategic foresight at a macro-level, few think about it from a micro-level. How can these foresight methods help us anticipate challenges in taking a novel product to market? These sessions are a deep dive into scenario planning, trend analysis, and strategic roadmapping… but for your product launch based on your real consumer data. It’s about looking at current consumer research and data to make informed predictions about where the market is headed and how best to react to the potential outcomes and be truly agile. There’s a real sense of purpose in these workshops, knowing that we’re helping businesses stay ahead of the curve and ready for whatever comes next.

Design Thinking Workshops: Creating with Empathy

Design thinking is one of those approaches that just clicks with people, and it’s a joy to facilitate. My Design Thinking Workshops are all about empowering teams to design products and services that truly resonate with consumers. We go through the entire design thinking process, from empathizing with consumers to prototyping and testing solutions. These interactive sessions are where empathy meets innovation, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see participants leave with a new perspective on how to approach challenges.

Running these workshops isn’t just about teaching others—it’s about learning and growing alongside them. Each session is a new adventure, and while it might be exhausting, it’s also deeply fulfilling. The innovative ideas that emerge, the strategies that take shape, and the connections that are made are all worth it.

So yes, I might be a natural at it, but that’s because I’m doing something I love. And when you love what you do, it’s not work—it’s a passion.
